When I rented my home, fully furnished, to the Santa Fe Opera and went to live in Italy for several months, having Emma in charge of my home and bank accounts gave me the peace of mind to immerse myself in Italy as she is a person of unimpeachable integrity. I added her as a signatory to my bank account enabling her to pay my bills and handle my mail. Emma is organized and resourceful. All bills were paid on time, discrepancies questioned and resolved and every expense was accounted for, which has made the preparation of my tax return so much easier! On her own initiative, she mulched the garden when it became too dry, saving all my plants, and replaced an outside light that had been broken by the refuse collectors, taking the initiative to locate the manufacturer of the original shade which the retailer no longer carried. When a tenant backed her car through a closed garage door, Emma handled the situation with alacrity, ensuring the replacement door was exactly the same type and quality and that my preferred vendor was retained for the installation. She dealt with the tenant and the insurance company efficiently and with kindness thus maintaining my relationships with the Opera and the vendor.
